What metal is used in NAMAM jewellery?

All NAMAM pieces are made from SS 304 surgical-grade stainless steel — the same standard used in medical and food-grade instruments. The gold finish is genuine 22K gold plating with a nickel-free top coating. Every batch is verified by a third-party XRF lab report. Will the gold plating fade, tarnish, or turn my skin green?

No. The surgical steel core will never rust or corrode. The 22K gold plating with nickel-free coating is designed for daily wear — it will not discolour your skin. Avoid prolonged exposure to chlorinated water or harsh chemicals (bleach, strong detergents) to preserve the finish longest. Regular sweat, water, and daily life will not affect it

Are the pieces hypoallergenic? Safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. The nickel-free coating on all NAMAM pieces makes them safe for people with metal sensitivities or nickel allergies. SS 304 surgical steel is one of the most skin-compatible metals used in jewellery — the same reason it is used in piercings and medical implants. If you have a known severe metal allergy, we recommend consulting your dermatologist before wearing any metal jewellery.

What is the difference between the bracelet and the pendant?

The bracelet (kada) is worn on the wrist — a closed or open-cuff bangle with the symbol disc at the centre. The pendant hangs from a chain close to the chest, near the heart. The symbol is the same — the placement is a personal choice. Some people wear both. The wrist is visible to the world; the chest is for yourself.

Can I wear it while bathing, at the gym, or while sleeping?

Shower — yes. The surgical steel will not rust and the plating is water-resistant.
Gym — yes. Sweat will not damage the piece; wipe with a soft cloth after a heavy workout.
Sleeping — yes, though some people prefer to rest their jewellery overnight to preserve the finish longest.
Swimming pool — avoid. Chlorine over long periods can gradually weaken gold plating. Remove before a swim

How do I clean and maintain my NAMAM piece?

Wipe with a soft dry microfibre cloth after wear to remove oils and restore shine. For a deeper clean, use a damp cloth with a tiny amount of mild soap — no abrasive cleaners, no silver polish, no ultrasonic machines. Store in the NAMAM pouch when not wearing, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

Is this only for men or can women wear it too?

NAMAM pieces are for anyone who connects with the symbol. The kada is a traditional unisex form — worn by men and women across India for centuries. The bold width gives it a strong, modern character, but that is a design choice — not a gender rule. Faith has no gender. Wear what you believe.

How long does delivery take across India?

Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days of being placed. Standard delivery across India takes 3–5 business days after dispatch. A tracking link is sent to your phone and email as soon as your order ships. For urgent orders — especially around festival seasons — reach out on WhatsApp and we will prioritise where possible.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major payment methods — UPI, credit and debit cards and net banking.

Is there free shipping?

Free shipping on all orders above ₹999 within India. Orders below ₹999 attract a nominal shipping fee calculated at checkout based on your pin code. International shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on destination country and weight.

Does it come gift-ready? Do I need to buy separate wrapping?

Every NAMAM piece ships in a premium gift-ready box — no additional wrapping needed.

Which piece should I gift for Raksha Bandhan, Diwali, or a birthday?

Raksha Bandhan — the Bajrang Bracelet or Pendant. Strength, protection, and devotion — the energy of a brother’s blessing made wearable.
Diwali — the Pranav Bracelet (OM) or Mahakaal Pendant. Both carry the energy of new beginnings and auspiciousness.
Birthday — choose based on the recipient’s deity, not the occasion. The meaning of the piece outlasts the day it was given.

How is NAMAM different from other jewellery brands?
